Scam attempts continue to be more creative as a package delivery company was recently targeted.  Individuals expecting a delivery were sent a phony text message that appeared to be a satisfaction survey, but it was not.  It was actually a bogus page set up by the scammer that asked individuals for his/her credit card number in order to claim a free product.   Security experts remind customers to not click through the skeptical communication and rather check the company’s website or known phone number for it’s policy on unsolicited messages and to verify any outstanding balance before providing credit card information.
