Looking for something to do or some extra cash, you may know of someone who signed up to be a mystery shopper and review stores and restaurants. It sounds exciting, and there are many legitimate opportunities out there, but some are scams that actually take from you. One of the biggest signs of a bogus posting is that the company asks you to pay them upfront. This company should be paying you for your time and work done, not the other way around. Be wary if they ask you to wire money or buy gift cards for a mystery shopping assignment or opportunity.
